First of all, kindly note that the dramas included in the list are all verified dramas that will start airing in 2010. Second, this is a personal list. Meaning that the dramas listed below are just based on my taste nonetheless.

By the way, even though they are confirmed dramas there are still some who doesn’t have an official poster.

Dong Yi

Synopsis: Set during King Sukjong’s reign in the Joseon dynasty, Han Hyo Joo plays the court maid, Choi Sook Bin, who finds favor with the king and rises to become his concubine. Her son would later become the 21st king of Joseon, King Yeongjo. Han Hyo Joo’s character will be the main focus of the story.

  • Han Hyo Joo as Dong Yi, later Choi Sook Bin

    • o Kim Yoo Jung as Sook Bin (child)

MBC is really good in making historical dramas. Some of the greatest historical dramas under their belt are Dae Jang Geum, Jumong and Queen Seon Duk. With the broadcasting station’s tremendous success in those historical dramas, we can almost see the success of this one.

And another good reason why I am going to watch this drama is because of Han Hyo Joo. She’s young but she proved that she can sweep hearts by her acting. It’s proven by the success of Shining Inheritance and Heaven’s Postman.

God of Study is the Korean remake of the popular Japanese drama, Dragon Zakura. In the remake, the role of Yama-p (Yamashita Tomohisa) will be portrayed by Korea’s younger brother, Yoo Seung Ho. Though the latter is younger, for sure he won’t lose in terms of acting. Yoo Seung Ho is known in various roles that he had portrayed both in television and in film. And the latest character that he successfully portrayed is Kim Chun Chu in Queen Seon Duk.

On the other hand, KBS2 is the same network that made Boys Before Flowers or Boys Over Flowers (in the Philippines) big. And since they are handling of this remake again, there’s a big chance that they know how to make it interesting.

So the big question now is: will it be as successful as Boys Before Flowers or will it be more successful? Let’s all watch and find out.

Cinderella Sister

We all know the popular fairytale Cinderella. And in the fairytale, Cinderella is very naive, kind and . . . weak. In the fairytale, we’ve only seen the good side of Cinderella. Since there is magic and a stepmother to help, there’s no need to show her cunning side. But with the modern adaptation of the drama, it seems that there will be no magic and no fairy godmother. In short, no one’s going to help the distressed Cinderella but herself. And how this drama is going to be interesting to watch.
